This Privacy Policy explains what information Paremus or our service providers collect from or about users of the Paremus websites, including any content we may provide through our websites, our services, our mobile applications, and any other interactions (e.g., customer support inquiries, conferences, etc.), and states our practices regarding such information. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), by accessing the Paremus websites, you have agreed to the use of my data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you are outside the EEA, by accessing files, browsing, or otherwise using the Paremus websites, you have agreed to the use of your data as described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms, please do not access or use the Paremus websites, services, mobile applications, or any other aspect of Paremus’ business.

We, or our service providers, collect and process personal information data about you when you use our websites, interact with us and our products and when you purchase goods and services from us.   • Download Paremus software, third party software, or open source software from our website(s);

  • Attend Paremus online or in person events

 

Our Use of This Information

We process the personal information data listed in section 1 above so that we, or our service providers, may use this in various ways including in connection with:

The Use of Cookies and Other Tools

We may collect and/or log your IP address, domain name, your web browser and operating system used to access our websites, services, our mobile applications or other interactions (e.g., customer support inquiries, user conferences, etc.), the files visited, the time spent in each file, and the time and date of each visit. This information may be collected automatically as you browse via the use of log files and web beacons to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer our websites and services. Paremus and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or service.

We may also use cookies and other electronic tools placed by a third-party service provider to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and other information and help us understand what product information is of most interest to our customers and what kinds of advertising offers our customers like to see. Although the service provider logs the information coming from our websites or services on our behalf, we control how that data may and may not be used. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our website or service.

We may use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our mobile applications on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the mobile application.
 

Sharing Your Personal Information Data

We may share your personal information data with the following third parties:

  • our professional advisors such as our auditors and external legal and financial advisors;
  • marketing and communications agencies where they have agreed to process your personal information data in line with this Privacy Notice;
  • market research companies;
  • our suppliers, business partners and sub-contractors;

These third parties are only authorized to use your personal information data for the purpose it was originally intended or as required or permitted by law. However, unless otherwise dictated by law or agreement, Paremus is not responsible for any improper use by such parties.

If you opt out of sharing your information with these third-party service providers for these purposes, we may be unable to provide our websites, services, mobile applications, information or support you request.

Personal information data may also be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if required for the purposes above, if mandated by law or if needed for the legal protection of our legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws. Personal information data may also be shared with third party service providers who will process it on behalf of Paremus for the purposes above. Such third parties include, but are not limited to, providers of website hosting, maintenance, call centre operation and identity checking.

In the event that our business or any part of it is sold or integrated with another business, your details will be disclosed to our advisers and those of any prospective purchaser and will be passed to the new owners of the business.

We may also share non-personal information data (e.g., anonymous, aggregated data) without restriction.

Unless permitted by relevant laws, We will not share, sell, trade, or lease your personal information data to or with others except as provided for in this Privacy Policy.

 

Our Retention of Your Personal Information Data

We will retain your personal information data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our websites, services and mobile applications. The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers, in which case the third country’s data protection laws will have been approved as adequate by the European Commission or other applicable safeguards are in place. Children and Personal Information Data Collection

Our websites, services and mobile application content is not directed toward children who are under the age of 16.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.  If we or our Service Providers become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, that information will be deleted from our databases.  If you have questions about personal information that may have been submitted by a child, please email us at privacy@paremus.com.
